The Pan African Project
A conceptual music-led cultural initiative by Maestros Chords — using structured sonic storytelling to reconstruct African identity, bridge generations, and mobilise the continent through shared creativity and collective vision.
Maestros Chords · Maestros Leadership Company
Maestros Chords is a creative studio operating under Maestros Leadership Company, dedicated to developing high-impact artistic projects that combine creativity, culture, and strategic storytelling to influence mindset and inspire societal transformation.
As part of its broader mission to shape leadership and redefine African identity, Maestros Chords developed Mama Afrika: The Pan African Project — anchored in the understanding that music is one of Africa's most powerful and accessible cultural tools.
Music serves as the foundational base to initiate engagement, with a deliberate strategy to expand into broader creative spaces and cross-disciplinary collaborations across the continent. Despite Africa's rich cultural heritage and global influence, there remains a fragmented understanding of its identity. Mama Afrika responds to this gap.

Creative direction meets structured execution
Charles Lipenga is a multidisciplinary creative whose background as an architect, public speaker, and music producer converges in Mama Afrika. His structured narrative approach, strategic positioning, and emphasis on cultural and societal impact give the project both artistic depth and institutional grounding. As Executive Producer, he steers the creative and philosophical direction of the entire initiative.
Project management and coordination are handled by Influencer Malawi, ensuring structured execution, stakeholder engagement, and strategic alignment across all phases of the project lifecycle. This combination of creative direction and organised management strengthens the project's capacity to operate at both artistic and institutional levels across the continent.
While music serves as the entry point, Mama Afrika is intentionally designed as a scalable creative platform. Building on the album's foundation, the project will expand into four interconnected dimensions.
Film, documentaries, and music videos that extend the sonic narrative into the moving image — bringing Africa's story to screens across the world.
Performances, listening sessions, and cultural showcases across the continent — creating spaces where communities gather around shared identity.
African creatives across design, fashion, architecture, and digital media — forging cross-disciplinary partnerships that reflect Africa's diversity and innovation.
Platforms engaging youth in conversations around history, identity, leadership, and continental development — turning listeners into active participants.
Promote a unified Pan African identity through structured, narrative-driven musical storytelling that spans the continent's diverse cultures and languages.
Use music as a catalyst for broader creative collaboration across Africa — opening doors to cross-disciplinary partnerships and cultural exchange.
Engage young people in meaningful conversations around history, identity, and responsibility — shaping the next generation of African thinkers and leaders.
Position African creative expression as a primary driver of cultural and social development — demonstrating that art can transform societies.
Foster partnerships within creative and cultural industries across the continent — building a connected ecosystem of African innovators and storytellers.
"Creativity not only for expression, but as a tool for connection, education, and transformation."
A phased approach to continental impact
